Founded by Jan and Kristina Engels in 2018, JASDEPOT represents their lifelong passion for African art and culture. With over 30 years of collecting experience, the couple has assembled one of Europe's most significant private collections of traditional and contemporary African art.

Jan, with his background in international business, and Kristina, with her expertise in art history, have transformed their personal collection into a cultural bridge between continents. Their depot in Antwerp's historic district serves as both exhibition space and research center, welcoming scholars and art enthusiasts from around the world.
